Mission
The Federation for Community Schools is a collaborative that advocates for policies that develop and sustain community schools, which support children, youth, families, and communities.

Vision
Every school in Illinois will partner with its community to provide high-quality programs, during the regular school day and out-of-school time, which enrich students' educational experiences and achievement, support families, and strengthen communities.

Values
Collaboration:  The Federation nurtures relationships based on mutual interest, trust, and respect and works in concert with those who are similarly dedicated to the promotion and establishment of community schools.

Inclusion:  The Federation values the diversity of its various stakeholders, which include parents, school administrators, teachers, students, community members and agency partners and works to integrate their perspectives in all that the Federation does.

Integrity:  The Federation upholds the highest ethical standards by honoring our commitments and respecting all of our stakeholders.

Engagement:  The Federation will actively dialogue with and provide services to its members and ensure that they can effectively discuss and promote community schools throughout Illinois.
